Before it can be used, a domain name must be connected to a web host that stores your website files.

The web host stores all your website files so that they can be seen on the internet.
There are thousands of web hosts to choose from, with varying price, features, and reliability.
To keep this simple, I recommend the hosting plans at Hostgator. I use them myself for a number of sites, including EricsTestLab.com which is a domain I registered to use as a test lab for examples that I’ll be discussing in future.
