Free Facebook Access for Telstra Mobile Users

Telstra  have recently provided free access to Facebook to all users of their mobile network.

If your mobile phone is equipped with a web browser, you can access the Facebook site from your mobile.

Just go to  0.facebook.com (that’s zero dot facebook dot com)

(don’t put www in front of it – it doesn’t work)

When successfully connected, you should see “Free Access by Telstra” at the top of the screen.

This free access will give you access to a text only version of facebook, which is fine for making  and reading posts.

If you want to view pictures, you’ll have to use the normal version of facebook, which is not free. Data charges will apply.

I wouldn’t normally use Facebook while I’m out and about, but it’s come in handy a couple of times over the last week.
