You are at an important meeting or lecture.
And you’re jotting down notes to remind you of what is being said.
Now imagine that three months later, what was said at that meeting become of vital importance to you.
So you just go back to the notes you made, touch your pen onto the notes you made, and you immediately hear the actual words that were being spoken while you were making the notes.
Magic? – Pretty much!. but that’s just one example of what you can do with the Livescribe “Pulse” Smartpen.

I’ve been using the free Photo management program “Picasa” for the management of my photos for ages.
It’s the best application I’ve used for removing red eye, sending pics by email, making albums, etc. etc.
The latest version, 3.5 now adds many new features like geotagging and face recognition.
I LOVE face recognition. Picasa scans your hard drive for photos, and presents you with the faces. You then start putting names to the faces, and google will start building albums of the photos where a particular face appears.
As you provide feedback on the selections it makes, it gets more and more accurate with its identification.
After the process finishes, you can click on someones name, and see all the photos in which that person appears. You can then export these to a folder, make a slideshow and upload it to YouTube, or perform various other tasks with them.
If you are already using Picasa – grab the upgrade.
If you’ve never used it before, download it and prepare to have all your photo management problems solved.
Download it free from www.Picasa.com
Cheers, Eric G.

You can have a fully operational website like this within a few hours. Free.
A common stumbling block for small businesses is the creation of a new website. Or the updating of an old website.
I’ve seen people waiting for months while a friend or relative “builds them a site”. Or spend thousands of dollars on a custom, hand built site where every change has to be done by the developer for a fee. Wouldn’t it be great to update and change it yourself. Anytime you like

There are many ways of collecting payments for the goods and services that you sell online. Many are simple to set up, and just involve pasting a bit of code onto your existing web pages.

At last count, my office contained 26 things that need connection to the AC power supply.
And when something needs to be unplugged, it used to take me ages to find the right cord, and I often would unplug the wrong thing and the computer or some other item would die.
I tried labelling the cords with bits of tape, but that was too fiddly. Colour coding was also a pain to maintain. So I invented a simple, elegant solution that really works. (more…)
