For the last couple of weeks, mega marketer Frank Kern and his army of affiliates have been pumping out message after message about his $1997 List control product.
You’ve undoubtedly seen the messages if you are on the mailing list of any of the members of the Guru syndicate.
Now, Frank has a reputation for selling out quickly – usually within hours. For this promotion, he has provided his usual build up of information and bonuses.
But after more than 2 days, emails are still going out promoting this product.
Ex car salesman Mike F. is flogging it hard.
Today, there’s an email from Frank himself that says;
Hey, Frank here with some cool news! Check it out:
List Control has been going so extremely well, I’ve decided to give one of my most requested pieces of content out to anyone who buys it.
It’s called the.$23.8 Million Dollar Swipe File-
Now, Blind Freddy can see that if this product had been going like his other launches, it would have sold out by now. He didn’t have to add additional bonuses because “they were going so well”.
I’m thinking that it’s not going well at all.
I’m thinking that people have had enough of these mega launches for these hugely expensive products, with all the hype, glitter, affiliate bonus frenzy, and all that.
The punters seem to be keeping their wallets closed.
Or have they come to the conclusion that the product is a Frankified version of stuff that’s most likely available elsewhere on the net at a much lower price, or for free?
What do you think? cheers, Eric G.

I just received an email from Lyris offering a guide with 10 rules for writing headlines.
Link here:
Stellar Subject Lines: 10 Rules That Get Results
Check out the info that they require from people to get access to it!
They must be joking!
Do “ordinary” people out there still give out so much stuff to get a free report?
Edit: half an hour later.
By contrast, here’s the latest blog post by Michael Fortin which has just arrived.
http://www.michelfortin.com/capture-captivate-attention/
I recommend that you read it.
There’s a huge difference in marketing styles demonstrated here.
Lyris want EVERYTHING from you before they give you something of unknown value.
Micheal wants NOTHING from you before he gives you very useful information. And I’ll bet that what he gives you will run rings around whatever is in the 10 rules from Lyris.
Of course, both are building lists. With a big difference.
The people on Michaels list are there because they WANT to be. He makes you WANT to sign up to his newsletter by the sheer quality of his content.
The people on the Lyris list are there because they HAVE to be.
How are you building YOUR lists?
cheers,
Eric G.

I’m very attracted to people who have commonsense, and Perry Marshall has got lots of it.
I read his newsletters I read as soon as they arrive in my inbox.
Today’s is a beauty. Perry looks at the problems of education systems.
The ones that prepare our kids for the world.
He comes to the conclusion that there’s something really wrong with systems that take 13 years to take our kids to a level which barely qualifies them for a $7 per hour job at a fast food store.
But it’s also an inspiring article.
Read it and let me know if you agree.
The gigantic horrible lie about education

Eric G.

Hi,
I case you haven’t noticed, video is the new “Wunderkind” of the internet , and it will make you money, cure cancer, and grow back your hair.
Some people use video very well. Others – err – don’t.

This is going to look like a massive contradiction, but please humor me for a minute or so.
I really hate those spammy websites that promise to make you a huge income by doing nothing but sit around in your undies.
But I’m going to suggest that you visit one of them, and pay $10 to sign up.
The site promises that you can make $22,000 per month by doing nothing.
Yeah, right. I don’t blame you if you don’t believe a word of it.
I’ve never asked you to look at a site like this before, but this site has something different.

Keeping track of all the passwords you use for the many internet sites you visit is a real problem.
For the past few years, I’ve used RoboForm – which is regarded as the best password manager and form filler available.
I recently stopped using it. Here’s why.

What Is Internet Marketing?
There’s no PhD you can strive for to be in the Internet marketing industry. You have to learn as you go – on your own – soaking up information along the way. The first thing you need to know is what it means to be an Internet marketer, because it isn’t always clear to everyone.
For most small businesses, using the internet is an excellent, cost effective way of
- Finding new customers,
- Staying in contact with existing customers
- Increasing customer loyalty
- Reducing advertising costs
Most small businesses don’t realise that they have a VERY valuable asset right under their noses.

Internet Marketing is a generic term that means selling goods and services on the internet.
There are dozens of different methods of doing this, but all of them boil down to having knowledge of a base level set of internet related skills. So you either learn them yourself, or pay someone else to do them.
Many people have asked me to teach them the required skills, but this is just not cost effective. So I’ve been looking around for an inexpensive, comprehensive course to recommend to you. I’ve please to announce that I’ve finally found one.
