Internet Explorer Security Warning
If you’re still using Internet Explorer, I’d suggest that you immediately change over to Firefox , Opera, Chrome, etc.
A newly found security flaw in all versions of Internet Explorer allows criminals to take over your computer, steal passwords, and do other unfriendly things.
Microsoft are working on the problem.
cheers, Eric G.

TWITTER. I was Wrong. Damn it!
Over a year ago, I tried out a funny little web application called Twitter.
After playing with it briefly, I decided that it didn’t really make sense, and so I forgot about it.
After all, why would you want to send out little 140 character messages about what you were doing?
The buzz about twitter kept going, and recently turned into a deafening roar.
After taking another look at it, I realised that I had made a mistake about twitter. It’s actually VERY useful if you use it properly. Especially now it’s now reached the point where SO MANY great people are using it.
Online Security Tests for your PC
It’s a bit difficult to tell whether your computer is protected from outside attack, or whether anyone can get through your defences and select from the smorgasbord of data on your hard drive.
After all, your router just sits and flashes lights at you. You don’t REALLY know whether it’s effective.
Cheap Broadband Plans – A Costly JOKE!
If you’re thinking of getting a broadband internet connection, please don’t fall for the cheap options that are currently being promoted in the lifestyle magazines.
They are pretty useless if you actually want to USE the internet, and could end up costing you hundreds (or thousands!)of dollars in excess charges every month unless you are VERY careful.
How To Protect Your Internet Computer
20 minutes.
That’s how long it takes for harmful programs to start finding your unprotected Windows computer on the internet. And install themselves.
How To Identify Email Phishing Scams
If you are a Google Adwords advertiser, an email like this would certainly get your attention:
Dear Google AdWords Customer,
We were unable to process your payment. Your ads will be suspended soon unless we can process your payment. To prevent your ads from being suspended, please update your payment information.
Beware of this Chinese Domain Name Sales scam
The creativity of scammers and spammers never ceases to amaze me.
If you get an email headed something like:
URGENT-dispute of Domain name and Internet Brand/China
I’d recommend that you just ignore it.
This conpany (whose message appears below) is using fear tactics on domain name owners to get them to register uneccessary domain names in China – probably for a huge fee.
Google tells you how to set up your website
Google has just released a guide that tells you what to do if you want to improve the chances of people finding your website.
Almost Everyone these days has a story to tell (or an E-Book to sell) about "How to optimise your site for the search engines".
Unless you know what you are doing, it can be a waste of time – or even harmful – to blindly follow advice which could be outdated or harmful.
A very good basic guide to what you should be doing to your web pages to make them rank higher in search engines has just been released by Google.
Rogue ISP shut down – Worldwide SPAM volume falls 60%
Over the last couple of days, the volume of mail passing through our mail server has fallen dramatically.
The reason for this was that one Californian ISP – McColo – has been shut down.
This rogue ISP was the host for a large variety of spammers and hackers.
It’s hard to believe that one ISP could have so much impact, and be the provider of so much frustration to the world’s internet users.

Three Essential Newsletters.
I subscribe to lots of newsletters, and just skim through most of them.
However, I always read through these 3 newsletters as soon as I receive them.
